The greatest brand-cup
The Ford Fiesta ST Cup exists since 2003 and as a brand cup belongs to the BERO Top 10 series. This famous motor sports series demonstrated its ability in several races and is in accordance with the long motorsports tradition at Ford. The series' main purpose is to afford favourable motorsports on a high level as for technical and sportive motives.
The car
The racing version of the Fiesta is based on the usual fourth generation street car model. It is manufactured as a limited edition of 50 pieces in Cologne. His weight was reduced to 940 kg and the power of the 1.6-litre-Duratec-ST-engine is quoted with 170 hp. The security equipment includes amongst others an electric 4kg fire-extinguish installation, rollcage and a safety-net on the driver´s side.
Germany's greatest brand-cup
The Ford Fiesta ST Cup is because of his international turnout, which is above 30, Germany's greatest brand cup. The race on the Nordschleife will be the fourth of overall six racing days and will take place in conjunction with the New Renault Clio Cup. For the drivers this day will definitely be the heyday in this year's cup calendar and a very big defiance for the new blood contestants. At the same time this cup is not an rookie event, … several winners of last years' cup are again attending in the current season.
Appealing prizes for the champions
Additionally to the sportive qualities the prizes are also very appealing for the rivals.
They can win a lot of money: Up to 8,650€ per race. Special bonus-features are reserved for the over-all winners at the end of the season. The champion gets a Ford Mondeo, the second and third will get a Ford Focus respectively a Ford Fiesta.
The Ford Fiesta ST Cup will take place on Saturday the 17th of June at 09.00am.
